Inspired Perspectives – Quarterly Legislative Update
December 17, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Course Description:
Join us for our quarterly legislative update covering recent developments in tax and financial accounting legislation. While 2020 is unlikely to see major tax legislation like the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act enacted, more targeted legislation is expected to be under consideration. Groundwork will also be laid for post-election tax changes that could significantly impact both business and individual taxpayers. Staying up-to-date on areas impacting your situation is important and can allow you to better plan for changes that may be coming. Key topics expected to be covered during the year include: Middle class tax relief — Can Trump deliver in an election year? Will Congress address the problems created by previous tax legislation? What progress is the IRS making in implanting new tax law? What is the post-election outlook for Tax reform? Mel Schwarz, Director of Tax Legislative Affairs, located in Washington D.C., and members of our National Tax Office will share their expertise and update you on the latest from Capitol Hill, the Treasury and the IRS with a focus on how changes may impact you and your business.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss the tax legislative landscape
