Fall Blanket STEM: Birds & Bugs

This is a family-friendly, COVID-safe, physically distanced event that will explore birds and bugs in our area and how they prepare for cold months ahead. Families will spread out on a blanket in an outdoor environment and will take part in different activities.
• Bring your own blanket that can accommodate up to four (4) family members.
• Blankets will be spread out at least six feet apart in a grid.
• Bring your own masks to keep safe.
• Bring some water, a comfortable sweater and some curiosity!

Who should come:
The activities will be designed for kids between ages 6-12 and their parents/guardians. Each blanket group will be required to have at least one (1) adult to help with the activities. We will have volunteers roaming around to help as needed, but the real interaction will happen when families work together to explore.

Cost:
As a way to help families during these challenging times, this event will be offered free of charge. Each child participant will receive a complimentary bag with items that they can take home and do their own exploration.
